 Greenwood Baptist Church is a God centered, family oriented place of fellowship and growth. Family as we know it today can be many things from a single individual, single parent, blended and traditional families. Regardless the make up of your family, we encourage you to acknowledge and nurture God’s presence in every aspect of your life. We realize that every person is unique with individual needs and desires. We believe that God, in his infinite wisdom, will unite your home and this church in a single purpose.
The ministries at Greenwood are ever growing and changing. In August 2007, our fifty plus year old congregation moved into our new facility, changed the name to Greenwood Baptist Church and began a new era. This new time in our life has been both challenging and exciting. We have experienced wonderful growth in attendance and membership. A vision for new and exciting ministries is continuously taking shape. Our goal is to offer opportunities for growth to every age group through Bible Study, worship, missions, music, and fellowship.
We feel that the future for Greenwood is rich with possibility. God has blessed us with over forty beautiful acres on which to grow. He is also blessing us with individuals and families who have a desire for something other than business as usual. Our prayer is that we always “be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:8)
